    Drawing and Illustration
    February 27 | 6-8:30 p.m. | Cost: FREE

    Learn to draw with two-tone shading and silhouettes at this workshop. The night’s focus will be on human figures and is open to all skill levels and ages 12 and up.

    Participants should bring drawing supplies with them (notebook paper, sketch book, cardboard, pens, pencils, markers). Some drawing supplies will also be available at the workshop if you don’t have your own.

    Nadia Gordeuk has been drawing since she could hold a pencil (so 23 years). She prefers to draw animals and occasionally humans. She also does acrylic/oil painting and digital illustration. In her free time she enjoys taking walks and bike rides on the Prairie Path, and watching documentaries and movies.

    We kicked of our season on Sept 10. We encourage you to register your child at any time. All children, grades 1-6*, are invited to join Children's Choirs – the more, the merrier! Song is used to teach important academic information, such as the ABCs and the Preamble to the Constitution. What better way to impress God’s Word deep into our children’s hearts than through songs and hymns each week. In addition, the choirs participate in occasional worship services, a Christmas program, and a spring concert or musical.

    Writers, bring an unfinished draft of something you’re writing to share in the roundtable workshop. We will explore the challenges and delights of improving your communication through rewriting and revision. We will also consider ways to keep your writing fresh. 

    Wil Triggs is director of communications at College Church and the editor of Connections magazine. He and his wife, Lorraine, also contribute to the weekly Saturday Musings of College Church. He enjoys writing fiction, poetry, opinion pieces and nonfiction.

    “The Story of Tyndale House and The Living Bible.” Mark Taylor will tell the story of the early days of Tyndale House Publishers and Ken Taylor’s project of paraphrasing the entirety of the Bible into everyday English. Ken and Margaret Taylor were long-time members of College Church.

    Four Saturday morning sessions of teaching videos/in person, dialogue with other married couples and dedicated time to talk with each other, Grace Marriage will encourage and equip couples to build marriages that showcase the gospel. The vision is to reduce crisis marriage counseling and divorce, and rebuild marriages on the foundation of grace, renew the thrill of marriage, and reclaim the God-centered and Christ-exalting vision of marriage. Cost – $179 for the year. Childcare – College Church will not provide onsite childcare but can assist with costs if needed. Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dates are: 9/23, 11/11, 2/10, 4/20 at the Crossings. Light refreshments will be available throughout the morning.
